COME OUTSIDE

Welcome dear one, I am so excited you chose to join me here! Thank you for trusting me in coming outside to explore new ways of being and making. What I offer you here is a bit of the beautifully imperfect fruit of my life’s work, processes, and experiences accumulated throughout my years so far. It embodies this very recent transition. From teaching in-person workshops in the US and around the world to creating my first online workshop. An experience that turned out to be revelatory and quite exhilarating. I must admit it was challenging as well, to try to transform a three, four, five full days of in-person workshop content into an online bite size format. So I didn’t! Instead, I took the freedom to explore this new media and the unfamiliar technology, and create something different than I usually offer. I am asking you to please honor my journey here by not sharing the password with anyone. Thank you so very much. I wish you sweet nourishment!

With love,
Orly

SIDEKICK

THE SIDEKICK
A close companion, a friend, a teacher. In its physical form a small, old, used, humble book that has story and history already, all sorts of images, illustrations, photographs, and words. It should open flat. Preferably not glossy. You may find it anywhere: at home on the “forgotten books” shelf, the library store, a flea market, or a second hand store. As long as you are ready and willing to transform it into something else, you are good and ready. It’ll be the persistent reminder of who you innately are and who you will always be: a free, spirited, lively and abundant human being who feels deeply, moves uninterruptedly, and expresses unapologetically. Fluidly, from the inside out.

THE NEED TO WIN
When an archer is shooting for nothing he has all his skill.
If he shoots for a brass buckle he is already nervous.
If he shoots for a prize of gold he goes blind
 or sees two targets –
he is out of his mind.
His skill has not changed, but the prize divides him. He cares,
 he thinks more of winning
 than of shooting –
 and the need to win
 drains him of power.”

- Thomas Merton, The Way of Chuang Tzu
