In 'MIXT: An Experience with Old Book Boards' we will explore the life and nature of a different substrate. It’s a 4-day mixed media workshop where we’ll ‘uncover’ the mysterious lives of old covers of vintage books and then inject new lives into them. We’ll bring in bits and pieces of other elements that have previous stories and histories as well to create new collage fodder from which we’ll draw inspiration for our final book cover pieces. Mixed media prompts and processes will be introduced and used to create what only we can put together. Our own creative ways and preferences will surely culminate in one of a kind creations that make us feel lively and content as art making always does.
