MIXT: A 4-Day Mixed Media Experience with Old Book Boards

In MIXT we will explore the life and nature of a different and beloved substrate. It’s a 4-day mixed media workshop where we’ll ‘uncover’ the mysterious lives of old/vintage book covers and then inject new lives into them. We’ll create collage elements and incorporate them into our final book cover pieces. Various prompts and processes will be introduced and will culminate in one of a kind creations. Concepts of decay and renewal will be touched on. The use of old book covers as metaphor.
