Peace and Contrast: Tight Book to Loose Collage

August 13-16, 2025, in Salem, Oregon

Join me for a four day workshop this summer at my place in Salem, the Willamette Valley, in Oregon. In it we'll enjoy the process of making spreads, signatures, binding them into lush books of inspiration, only to later use its pages to create collages, standalone pieces on our chosen surfaces. We’ll explore what mixed media practices and materials offer us: Painting, drawing, and writing, 'making papers' to create collages. Visual reflections on contrast and peace, freedom and limitedness, change and comfort, connection and individualism, honest, full and minimal expressions.
